A Journey That Began at Fourteen
Mikhail’s educational journey with Sharon began in 2020, when he was fourteen years old.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, his parents found Sharon’s online English program while
searching for stronger academic opportunities. What started as online lessons quickly
became something much larger.
At the time, his English level was approximately A2+. Within just one to one and a half years
of structured study, consistent mentorship, and active participation in Sharon’s learning
community, he advanced to C1 level proficiency. The transformation was not only linguistic,
but personal.
Through Sharon’s classes, he developed confidence, discipline, and global perspective.
Surrounded by motivated classmates and guided by a teacher who emphasized clarity and
accountability, he began to see education as a pathway beyond borders.
From Online Lessons to International Education
Inspired by his progress and the international community Sharon built, Mikhail made the
decision to study abroad. He moved to Canada at sixteen and completed high school at
Hudson College in Toronto.
Adapting to a new country, new academic system, and full English immersion required
resilience and independence. The foundation built during his early years of study allowed
him to succeed academically and integrate confidently into a global environment.
Several years later, after building both academic and professional growth, Mikhail and
Sharon met in person in Toronto in May 2025 — a full-circle moment marking five years
since their first online lesson.
Expanding Across Continents
Today, Mikhail is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering
with Contemporary Entrepreneurialism at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in
China.
His academic focus combines advanced manufacturing, interdisciplinary system design, and
innovation strategy. He leads and contributes to engineering research and prototype
development projects, including modular bioprinting systems and applied technology
initiatives.
Studying in China represents another chapter of international growth — adapting once again
to a new academic and cultural system while operating within global teams.
Role in Sharon’s Classes
Beyond being a former student, Mikhail has been contributing to marketing development,
strategic initiatives, and cross-platform growth within Sharon’s Classes and ELIS since 2021.
Having personally experienced the impact of structured language education and mentorship,
he brings both lived perspective and strategic insight to the organization. His journey — from
a 14-year-old online learner to an international university student — reflects the long-term
power of consistent education, accountability, and community.
Education as Expansion
For Mikhail, education is not simply about passing exams. It is about expanding opportunity.
His path — beginning with online English lessons during a global lockdown and evolving into
international study, engineering innovation, and cross-continental collaboration —
demonstrates how structured learning can shape long-term direction.
He continues to believe in building platforms that help others gain the same confidence,
clarity, and global access that once changed his own trajectory
